What was your favorite game to play at recess in grade school?
Submitted by Elisheva Chana.
I was actually talking about grade school recess today at lunch with friends. It was so nostalgic. Anyways, the games that we played include: nation ball, four square, tether ball, and several bar games like skin the cat, etc. My favorite, however, is four square. I don't even remember the exact rules or anything, but four square was the way to go.
So I posted some pictures of my Agito Pinky:St and I'm so in love with the cuteness. My LJ has all 3 pictures of him and so does my thread a TH, but the thread at Teahouse has an added picture posted by Angie. Anyways, here we go~.
Dude, if they ever made a D.Gray pinky, I would SO get it. Especially if it was Allen. Or Kanda. > 3<. Even if Allen's innocence is there, it would still be cute.
What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?
Submitted by sami711.
My family doesn't really have any holiday traditions besides the norm: putting up the Christmas tree, hanging the wreaths out on the front door, setting up the plastic light-up Santa and Snowman outside... Well, there is this Filipino Christmas Party that we always go to, and I always look forward to it, because I get to see some friends that I would never usually see otherwise.
What's your favorite kind of Girl Scout cookie?
Submitted by My Lovely One.
My favorite Girl Scout cookie is, and will always be, Thin Mints. However, I'm a bit disappointed that GS has now raised the prices of the boxes. Honestly, what are they thinking?
And I haven't updated my vox. At least, not with a real update or anything. So the first grading period is over, band is still busy, I actually do try hard in my classes. What else is there to say? There's a football game on Friday, and I'm not sure if I'm excited or not. Oh! I heard that there was this 8th grade Japanese girl who was coming to the football game, because this is the game where the 8th grade band students go on a little "field trip" sort of thing. Apparently, she speaks very limited English, so I might talk to her. Though I don't really trust my Japanese skill that much either. =\
Gaia. I love Gaia. I've been doing art again, and opened up a freebie shop. I'll shortly be doing an auction, and hopefully it will be somewhat successful. Unfortunately, I don't have time to set up the auction posts at the moment, but I'm really excited about this. And I want the money. ^^;
Watched the final episode of Ouran. Wow. Just wow. It really did have the best TamakixHaruhi moment, and it was so cute. Seriously.
So today I "joined" the chess club at my school. Even though it's not really official yet. A friend of mine convinced me to join, and plus, I love games like these. Besides, I bet it's not as hard as playing go. Now that game is really confusing. Apparently, I'm also going to participate in tournaments against other schools, so I hope that'll be fun. And I'm pretty sure that my skill level as a chess player will rise. (Right now, I suck at playing chess.)
Hm. What else... Misty is "crashing" (quotation marks because I remembered something from the Coolspeak article I read) over at my place for two days-ish. It sucks yet it doesn't suck at the same time. Hm, what else. Nothing really. I should get started on my eating/homework.
So have I mentioned that I hate school yet? Well, I do. I think the only upside is that I can drive to and from school, and I love driving. Here's my everyday schedule:
1. Band (JV aka THE LOWEST BAND butIloveitanyways and I'm first chair anyways, so whatever.)
2. Health (I am so bored in this class.)
3. Japanese II
4. AP US History
5. AP English III
6. Pre-Calculus GT
7. Physics I GT
It's not that bad, considering that I've got 3 of my friends in my lunch period, and I don't really hate any of my teachers. Sure, I think my English teacher is scary, but it's because I feel inferior when I'm around her. She's told our class that we were going to expand our vocabulary by ourselves this year. (I guess I can't say like as much anymore, or I won't sound so scholarly...)
My parents are car shopping for me, so I should be getting my own (new) car sometime in the following week or so. I'll be sure to take a picture of it. The only thing I know is that it'll be a 4(5?)-door hatchback, because I think it's cute, and I'm going to be driving this car for a while anyways. My dad says that we'll be looking at more car dealerships this weekend, and hopefully the 'rents can make a decision sometime soon.
Band practice was so annoying today. I can't believe our clarinet section is actually trying to promote section unity. In case you didn't know, this means that we have to line up our identical water coolers right beside each other in a line, along with our (semi) identical clarinets. It's organized and neat, yes, but damn annoying when your sitting down at your rest spot and you have to get up and walk over JUST to get your instrument. Uh. Yeah. Anyways, Texas heat sucks, and I hope Thursday and Friday won't be as bad. And I also pray to god that we won't have that stupid Saturday rehearsal.
So this year I'm actually working on homework diligently. I know. This is such a surprise. The past couple of years, I kind of skimmed over the homework part of school, but this year, I want to try hard on my GPA. And I want A's (or B's) because my parents are paying for my car insurance. It's the least I can do, right?
Wish I could say more. Oh! Gave out 4 of my invites to Kirstie, Anjelica, Kage, and Iciak. My other 2 invites went to Chee and Sara-Jane. It's kind of like, I don't have anyone in particular to give the invites out to, so I'm kind of just like "Okay, here you go, invite for free." As opposed to the Teahouse people.
OH YEAH. In Health yesterday, Lemmons was talking about how being physically healthy meant that you had a good BMI (and other things). Haha. I almost laughed out loud.
Okay, so school started gain. This sucks. My schedule is okay, and I like pretty much all of my teachers, except for my English teacher, because she's scary. =(. I don't really have any classes with any of my close friends. Instead, I share them with people that I talk to a lot, but they're not people that I would invite over to my house or even sleep over.
This is my snack for the day. n___n. I was kind of like "Ooh, I shall take a picture of some Yan Yan because I'm bored". Er, yeah.
